Does the SwitchBot Hub 2 work with HomeKit, Alexa, and Google Home?
The Hub 2 bridges up to 8 SwitchBot sub-devices to Matter platforms.
It also has a built-in IR blaster, a display, two buttons, and temperature, humidity and light sensors. It suits Home Assistant users, with native support through Matter over Wi-Fi. HomeKit, Google Home, Alexa and SmartThings users reach it through an integration (a Matter bridge).
Matter controller or home gateway on the platform side (for example a HomePod or Apple TV for HomeKit)[1] (The hub is not enough on its own. You also need the third-party platform's home gateway.)
unknown
The hub bridges only SwitchBot devices and learned IR appliances. Other brands cannot be added through it.[1]
HomeKit: Via integration[1] (Works through Matter, which SwitchBot describes for its hubs in general.)
Google Home: Via integration[1] (Works through Matter, which SwitchBot describes for its hubs in general.)
Amazon Alexa: Via integration[1] (Works through Matter, which SwitchBot describes for its hubs in general.)
Samsung SmartThings: Via integration[1] (Works through Matter, which SwitchBot describes for its hubs in general.)
Home Assistant: Via integration[1] (Works through Matter, which SwitchBot describes for its hubs in general.)
Limited: Needs a SwitchBot Hub and a SwitchBot account API token.; Currently only supports retrieving sensor data, not device control.[12]
