SwitchBot's hubs are the Hub Mini, Hub Mini (Matter Enabled), Hub 2, Hub 3 and AI Hub. The original Hub Mini has no Matter and only adds Wi-Fi cloud and voice control. The others are Matter bridges: Hub Mini (Matter Enabled) bridges up to 4 sub-devices, Hub 2 up to 8, and Hub 3 and AI Hub up to 30.
Hub Mini (Matter Enabled), Hub 2 and Hub 3 learn IR remotes. The platform's own controller is still needed, such as a HomePod or Apple TV for HomeKit. A SwitchBot hub bridges only SwitchBot devices and learned IR appliances.
