Markdown versions of pages
How a page's facts and sources are laid out in Markdown
Last checked
Each device, product line, guide, news, platform and protocol page also comes as plain Markdown. Add .md to the page URL.
One page at a time
For example, /devices/<slug>.md. It is built from the same data as the page, so the facts and the Last checked date match it. It is marked noindex, so search results show the HTML page, and it is not in the sitemap.
A structured value appears only when every source behind it allows republication. Otherwise it is marked withheld and the HTML page shows it. Prices, certification records and retailer links are not included. Written answers and paragraphs are the site's own wording.
The page opens with the answer, the canonical page URL and the Last checked date. Facts and tables follow, with sources as numbered footnotes that give the URL and the date it was checked.
MCP server
The same facts are available to AI assistants through a read-only MCP server at https://smarthomecanon.com/mcp. It needs no login. Each answer carries the page URL and the source links for its facts. It leaves out the same withheld values as the page versions.
