Does the SwitchBot Contact Sensor work with HomeKit, Alexa, and Google Home?
Home Assistant reads the SwitchBot Contact Sensor locally.
A SwitchBot hub adds remote alerts and Matter. It is a battery-powered Bluetooth door and window sensor with a built-in light sensor. It suits Home Assistant users through an integration (a Matter bridge).
SwitchBot Hub 2, Hub 3 or Hub Mini (Matter Enabled), A Matter controller on your platform, such as a HomePod or Apple TV for HomeKit[8][9] (A SwitchBot hub is not enough on its own. You also need the platform's own home gateway.)
Limited: Needs a SwitchBot Hub and a SwitchBot account API token.; State updates arrive by webhook, so the Home Assistant instance must be reachable from the internet (or use Home Assistant Cloud).[13]
How the device gets into the platform on this route. The headline is the best route: local before cloud, direct before bridged, core before community. The methodology page lists every level.
