The Aqara Multi-State Sensor P100 needs different gear depending on its mode.

In Thread mode it uses native Matter and reports open and closed only. In Zigbee mode it needs an Aqara hub and adds object monitoring such as tilt, movement, fall and triple tap. It is a single-piece sensor with no magnet. It suits HomeKit, Google Home, Alexa, SmartThings and Home Assistant users, with native support through Matter over Thread.
