Eve plugs, outlets and power strips

Eve / 9 models / 2019-2024

Last checked

Which Eve plugs, outlets and power strips should I buy?

Eve Energy is a metering smart plug sold in regional versions, and Energy Outdoor and Energy Outlet extend it to outdoor and in-wall use.

The Energy plugs, Energy Outdoor and Energy Outlet use Matter over Thread. They are mains-powered and can relay Thread traffic for other devices, but a separate hub has to act as the Thread border router. Energy Strip is an older Wi-Fi power strip for HomeKit. No Matter support is listed for it.

Identify a model

Eve prints a model number on the label of each plug and lists model and product numbers on its identify page. The model number stays the same when a plug gets Matter, so the product number tells the HomeKit-over-Thread version from the Matter version.
