Which Zooz hubs and Z-Wave controllers should I buy?
Zooz sells three Z-Wave controllers: the Z-Box Hub, the ZST39 800 Long Range USB Stick and the ZAC93 GPIO Module.
The Z-Box Hub is a standalone hub with a built-in web interface and a 700 series chip. The ZST39 stick and ZAC93 module use an 800 series chip and need host software, such as Home Assistant with Z-Wave JS. All three support Z-Wave Long Range. The ZAC38 Range Extender is a plug-in repeater with an 800 series chip. Zooz has discontinued the 700 series ZST10 stick and replaced it with the ZST39.
Zooz prints a three-letter prefix and a number. ZEN covers plugs, switches, dimmers, relays, scene controllers and remotes, ZSE covers sensors and sirens, ZAC covers accessories such as the water valve actuator, range extender and GPIO module, and ZST covers USB sticks.[2][9]
ZST10 and ZST39
ZST10 is the 700 series stick and ZST39 is the 800 series Long Range stick that replaced it.[1][9]
