Every SONOFF Zigbee sensor and button needs a Zigbee hub or coordinator.
None of them works on its own. Each one is in the Zigbee2MQTT device list, and each works with HomeKit through one of SONOFF's Matter bridges. The DW2-Wi-Fi door and window sensor joins Wi-Fi and pairs through the eWeLink app, and the BMT01 BBQ meat thermometer reports to the app on a phone. The line covers temperature and humidity, motion, door and window, water leak and presence sensors, plus buttons. Only the two presence sensors need USB power.

SONOFF groups its newer sensors into series. AirGuard covers temperature and humidity (SNZB-02B, SNZB-02M, SNZB-02UL and the 3.6 inch SNZB-02DR2). SenseGuard covers motion, door and window, and presence (SNZB-03PR2, SNZB-04PR2, SNZB-06P24). The other models have no series name.[1–6]
The SNZB-06P and SNZB-06P24 presence sensors are the only mains-powered models. They run from USB power and act as Zigbee routers. The other models run on coin cells or AAA batteries.[6][7]
The DW2-Wi-Fi and the BMT01 are battery-powered models that report through the eWeLink app without a Zigbee hub. The CMSH03 and CMSH06 are recessed ceiling brackets, not sensors.[8–10]
Zigbee 3.0 temperature and humidity, motion, door and window, water leak and presence sensors, and the SNZB-01P wireless switch, sold without a series name.
Battery-powered models that report through the eWeLink app without a Zigbee hub: the DW2-Wi-Fi door and window sensor and the BMT01 BBQ meat thermometer.
