Which Shelly inputs and controllers should I buy?

The i4 modules read four wall-switch inputs, and the Gen4 i4 is the one that adds Matter and Zigbee.

The i4 Gen3 and the Plus i4 are Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules, and the Plus i4 DC takes 5 to 24 V DC instead of mains power. Shelly has discontinued the Plus i4. The Button1, which Shelly has discontinued, is a separate battery-powered button that triggers scenes over Wi-Fi. Home Assistant supports each device on this page, and each one offers MQTT, HTTP and webhooks or the Gen1 REST API.
