Which Shelly BLU devices should I buy?

Shelly BLU is a set of battery-powered Bluetooth buttons, remotes, sensors and a radiator valve, and a ZB suffix means the model adds Zigbee.

Bluetooth models use the Shelly BLU Gateway or a Shelly Plus, Pro or Gen3 device as a gateway for the Shelly Smart Control app, and the ZB models and the Distance also list Gen4 devices. Most BLU models support BTHome. Shelly has discontinued the BLU Button1, BLU Door/Window and BLU RC Button 4. The Zigbee models keep Bluetooth and add Zigbee 3.0.

Lines compared

The Door/Window ZB runs Zigbee 3.0 and Bluetooth 5 LE at the same time and supports BTHome.[1]

A compatible Zigbee gateway is required to use the H&T ZB in a Zigbee network.[2]

The BLU TRV controls a room radiator over Bluetooth and Zigbee, and Wi-Fi control goes through the BLU Gateway Gen3.[3]
