Kwikset's current smart locks run on four connections: Wi-Fi, Matter over Thread, Bluetooth and Z-Wave.
The Halo Select and Halo Select Plus use Wi-Fi in the Kwikset app and can be converted to Matter over Thread in the app, and the Aura Reach is Bluetooth plus Matter. The Halo Touchscreen, Keypad and Touch use Wi-Fi with Alexa and Google, and the Aura is Bluetooth only. The Home Connect 620 and 918 are Z-Wave locks that need a hub. Kwikset marks Kevo, Premis and the Obsidian Home Connect as discontinued.

Halo Select and Halo Select Plus are the Wi-Fi locks with a Matter option, and the Plus adds Apple home key. Halo is the Wi-Fi family with Alexa and Google but no Matter. Aura is Bluetooth, and the Aura Reach adds Matter over Thread. Home Connect is the Z-Wave pair for a hub. A lock in Matter mode leaves the Wi-Fi app path: Kwikset says a Halo lock placed in Matter mode will not appear in Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.[1–6]
