Which Hubitat Elevation hubs should I buy?

Hubitat's web shop sells two hubs, the Model C-8 Pro and a Thread Special Edition of it.

The standard C-8 Pro has Zigbee 3.0 and Z-Wave 800 and no Thread radio. The Special Edition swaps the Zigbee radio for a Thread radio, so it has no Zigbee. Both are Matter controllers. The C-8 and C-7 are no longer in the shop, and Hubitat Support has said it will not restock earlier hubs.

The regional editions differ in Z-Wave frequency and power supply. To tell a Thread hub from a Zigbee hub, open the hub's Settings page: Hubitat says a Thread hub shows Thread Details and a Zigbee hub shows only Zigbee Details.
