Aqara's presence sensors are the FP2 (Wi-Fi), FP1E (Zigbee), FP300 (battery, Thread or Zigbee) and FP400 (Thread and Zigbee), with the older FP1.
The FP2 needs no Aqara hub, joins Wi-Fi, tracks up to 30 zones and 5 people, and runs on USB-C power. The FP1E is a USB-A Zigbee sensor that needs an Aqara hub and reaches Matter only through a bridging hub. The FP300 runs on batteries and is native Matter in Thread mode. The FP400 counts up to 10 people.
Zigbee: Aqara Zigbee 3.0 hub (e.g. M3, M200, M100). Thread: a third-party border router works with Aqara Home setup.[2][3]
Matter over Thread. Set up in Aqara Home to share 1 whole-area plus up to 8 zone occupancy sensors. Direct third-party setup limits it to one whole-area sensor.[2][3]
