Which Aqara smart locks should I buy?

Aqara's locks fall into three groups: native Matter over Thread (U200, U200 Lite, U300, U400), Zigbee 3.0 (U50, U100) and Wi-Fi (B50).

Any Thread border router and Matter controller will run the Thread locks, with or without an Aqara hub. The U400 is the only Aqara lock with UWB hands-free unlock and Aliro, and it supports Home Key tap. The B50 reaches Matter through an Aqara M3, G5 or M100 hub. The U50 and U100 need an Aqara Zigbee 3.0 hub for remote use and reach Matter only through an Aqara hub. The U200 Lite is EU-only.

DL-D06E, DL-D16E, DL-D06D, DL-D16D, DL-D17D, DL-D15D (U400)A D ending marks a kit. DL-D06D and DL-D16D include Hub M100, and DL-D17D and DL-D15D include a second battery. An E ending is the lock alone.[3]

AD0xx (Matter database part numbers)These are Matter certification numbers, not retail model numbers. One product can have several: the U200 has AD040 and AD041, and the US version has AD075.[15][34][35]

Aqara rarely prints a model number on a lock's box. The table gives the ones Aqara does name. Ignore the AD0xx part numbers: they are Matter certification numbers, not retail model numbers.

The US U200 (AD075) has its own Matter certification, dated 2025-10-20. Aqara says its Aqara features work only with the Aqara M3 hub. Aqara also describes Euro-profile and Scandi cylinders for it.
