Which Echo speakers should I buy?

Amazon's speakers are the Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Pop, Echo Studio and Echo Spot.

The Echo has a built-in smart home hub. The 2025 Echo Dot Max and Echo Studio have one too, with Zigbee, Thread and Matter. Amazon does not state a hub for the Echo Dot (5th Gen) or Spot; the Echo Pop supports Matter. The 2019 Echo Studio has a Zigbee hub. The 2025 Echo Dot Max and Echo Studio are the Alexa+ models, built on Amazon's AZ3 chips.
