The Valve Controller T1 (VC-X01E, VC-X01D) needs an Aqara hub, and reaches Matter through a Matter-compatible Aqara hub.

It is a Zigbee retrofit actuator for lever or butterfly water valves and runs on 4 AA batteries. It suits HomeKit, Google Home, Alexa, SmartThings and Home Assistant users through an integration (a Matter bridge).
