frient is a Danish smart home brand from Aarhus that sells Zigbee sensors, alarms, plugs and energy meter readers. Its developers, Onics (formerly Develco Products), have brought over 4 million devices to market.[1][2]

Every frient product works over Zigbee only and needs a Zigbee-supporting hub. frient names Home Assistant, SmartThings, Hubitat and Homey among the hubs it has tested its devices with.[3][4]

frient sells a smaller range in North America than on its global site. The North America range is the Water Leak Detector, Entry Sensor 2 Pro, Motion Sensor Pro, Motion Sensor 2 Pet, Vibration Sensor, Smart Humidity Sensor, Smart Button, Intelligent Keypad, IO Module and Electricity Meter Interface 2, LED. The global site adds the smoke and heat alarms, plugs, a siren, a relay, a range extender and further meter interfaces.[5][6]
