# August smart locks by generation

*August / 6 models / 2016-2020*

> August's retrofit locks are the Smart Lock in its 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th generations, and the Smart Lock Pro. August says all its smart locks include Bluetooth LE. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation locks and the Pro reach Wi-Fi through the Connect Wi-Fi Bridge, and the Pro also supports Z-Wave. The 4th generation Wi-Fi Smart Lock has Wi-Fi built in.
