# Google Nest Cam (outdoor or indoor, battery)

*Google*

> The Nest Cam (battery) records 24/7 only when it stays plugged in and has a paid plan. It is a 1080p IP54 camera for indoors or outdoors. It runs on its built-in battery or a Nest Cam power cable, connects over Wi-Fi, and needs the Google Home app. It suits Google Home users, with native support through the maker's cloud. Alexa and Home Assistant users reach it through an integration (the maker's cloud).
